The Sunny South District Soccer Association's next meeting will be held in Brooks at the Lakeview on May 14, 2012 at 7 PM.
The ASA SPM was held in Red Deer on April 21-22, 2012, with Paul Anwender attending. The meeting went quite well, with another balanced budget for 2013.
Our DRA, Micheal Barwagen has been selected to the AR list of National Referees for the 2012 year. Please join me in congratulating Micheal on this great achivement.
Keep an eye on the Alberta Soccer Association website as well, the staff are doing a great job on inputing information on it. If there is something you cannot find, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to get you what you are looking for.
The Interleague has started with teams from Vauxhall, Bow Island, Taber and Coaldale competing.
The schedules are posted and they have game results on them. The rules for the 2012 season are posted under the Inter League tab as well.
The top result of our Sunny South teams in the Indoor Provincial Competition this year was the U16 Coaldale Thunder Boys Tier IV team; GOLD, next U18 Grasslands TIII Boys team: Silver, and U12 Grasslands TIV Boys team, Bronze. Congratulations!
Not only that Sunny South teams received five "Fair Play Awards", I think this says a lot about our programs. Great work by our clubs and coaches.
